Dedicated to the art of shoe making since 1863, the Frye Company originally made boots to ease the daily lives of factory workers and laborers. Each generation of Frye men dedicated themselves to shoe making, finding new patterns, creating new machinery and experimenting with new materials to perfect their process.
With such dedication, the company became renowned for their hard wearing designs and they quickly became popular in all walks of life, from American service men in the earlier days to fashionistas of more modern times. In particular, the Harness boot is rooted in tradition, featured in fashion magazines and like many of Frye's designs is based on an 1860 original.
