Originated in 1989 as a gift from Versace founder Gianni Versace to his younger sister Donatella, Versus Versace was the first of many diffusion lines for the Italian brand. After 16 years of trading the Versus line closed in 2005 but was later reopened by Donatella in 2009, who finished the line with a capsule collection of essentials every woman needs in their wardrobe, these pieces were designed by Christopher Kane who is now the co-creative director of Versus alongside Donatella.
